  1. Snail experts put in more than 30 years
    of research at the international level

    For more than 30 years, researchers of the Faculty of Science at Chulalongkorn University studied and experimented with a multitude of snails and their slime under the leadership of Professor Somsak Panha. He heads the Research Unit of Animal Systematics of Chulalongkorn University and is the Director of Thailand’s National Centre of Excellence on Biodiversity, and served as President of Unitas Malacologica for two terms. Intensive research focused mainly on Siamese snail breeds led to the discovery of a particular selection of slime yielding cosmetic properties that are 30 times better than those of snails of any other country.

  2. The best quality slime from only 2-3 breeds among the more than 600 breeds of Siamese snails discovered is used for producing snail slime cosmetics.

    3. Eco Semi-Natural Farming

  3. Snails are raised on a farm of more than 10 rai, half of which contains ponds of more than 5 meters in depth to moisten the land throughout the year.

    The farm is developed to be a natural habitat where each snail breed acclimatized to different plants can thrive in an ecosystem most suitable for habitation and growth interdependently with other living creatures such as earthworms and millipedes. It is managed with an automated system, along with an online control system, for controlling moisture and temperature. The fodder for snails is also specially prepared to yield slime with optimal cosmetic properties.

    Hygiene Farming

  4. Slime for cosmetic production is extracted only from the mantle, the muscular layer under the shell that secretes the best quality mucus snails use to repair and rebuild the shell. Doing so harnesses the healing and restorative powers of the snail.

  5. Snails are brought to a hygienically clean nursery to be properly fed prior to collection of slime. This is achieved by gently tapping for 2-3 minutes at the shell next to the mantle so no harm is done to the snails.

  6. Percolation technology is used to attain small molecules extracted from the slime, which makes certain for deep and quick penetration of the serum into the skin.

  7. Slime is added with ingredients to produce a highly intense serum yielding most effective skin care properties.
